Native Title

After 20 years, over 300 people gathered to witness the Wajarri Yamaji Native Title recognition at Wooleen Station, an on-country federal court, on October 19 2017.

Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC acts as a trustee for the native title rights of the Wajarri Yamaji People in Western Australia. The native title rights the Wajarri Yamaji people have been recognised in several determinations, the combined area of these determinations being 83,943 square kilometres located in the Murchison and Gascoyne regions of WA.
